Q5: Think for a moment about your district. What makes your district great? What makes you most proud?

The quality of the student and the casting of teachers with an extremely supportive administration and support staff

Q6: What are the most important challenges you see in your district as we enter in to the 2015/2016 school year?

Lack of cooperation with an outside group who is trying to dominate all the good that is being done and treat down what we have.

PAGE 4: Requiring PARCC Testing
Q7: Does your district have a policy that requires students to participate in state wide testing (like PARCC)?
  • Yes, and I voted against the policy that requires it. (skip to question 9)
  • Other (please specify) I believe the parent should make this choice as PARCC does not provide appropriate feedback for the individual student
Q8: While there is not a state mandate to require students to participate in state assessments like PARCC, some districts have passed local policies that would require participation in the state assessments.  If your district were to propose a policy to require participation in state assessments, would you vote in favor of that policy?
Respondent skipped this question
Q9: If you have other comments on PARCC or other testing policies, please share them here.

It is a travesty that common core is being taught in RHODE ISLAND our own RHODE ISLAND standards are better, more age appropriate and based on sound education principles instead of the foolish tripe of common core.

PAGE 5: Final Thoughts
