  1. I submitted a form to opt my child out of tge fall testing this year to his school, and I was informed (after they completed testing him) that optong out was not an option this year. Does anyone know if that is accurate?

      Whether there is a policy in place or not regarding requiring testing varies from district to district. An appropriate next step for you would be to contact your principal or superintendent and ask for a copy of the policy.
      Some districts have requirements for taking all assessments. If they do, a valid question is, “What happens if we don’t follow the policy?” In grades 3-7, there are likely no ramifications from not testing. In high school, it remains unclear whether the state will require participation for graduation.
